Mizuki Matsuoka, born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1992, is a sculptor whose work delves into the sensory experience of landscapes. After graduating from the Sculpture Department of Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2015, Matsuoka embarked on a creative journey to join Kousha Ceramic Works in Saitama, Japan, the same year.

Drawing inspiration from observing landscapes, Matsuoka translates these sensations into various textures within their artwork. Their creative process involves a deep immersion in the essence of the scenery, aiming not merely to mimic it but to encapsulate the very nature of the landscape itself. Through their creations, Matsuoka seeks to unveil and explore previously unknown landscapes, allowing viewers to perceive and contemplate the beauty of the unseen.
